So Zoey has been sort of dragging/splaying her legs (first left and now sometimes right), but still runs/bolts around her pen without a problem. She still tries to climb up the edge. She's less stable on slippery surfaces because of it. Doesn't seem to hurt her though if you try to manipulate any part. Took her to the vet who didn't' think it was orthopedic and really just scratched her head. We tried a week of motrin to see it would change, keeping to a tiny cage, etc... but no change. She seems plenty happy and such. Has anyone run across this before?

I would suggest the best thing to do would be get a second veterinary opinion, maybe some more diagnostics (X-rays for a start). Could be that she has some sort of spinal issue causing weakness in those limbs. It’s difficult to say without seeing the rabbit, so best to take her to another rabbit knowledgable vet.

How old is she and what type of flooring is she usually on? Also, did the vet take any xrays?

No xrays, she manipulated her pretty well and nothing felt out of place or caused her to twitch in pain. She's now 12 weeks, she's on mat when outside her cage, otherwise on the bedding of the cage bottom. The only thing I can think is the drive on the way back from picking her up from the breeder, which was 2hrs and she was in her cage.

Some baby rabbits can develop splay leg when they are raised on too slippery of a surface, some because they are a single baby and so fat they develop it due to lack of mobility, others will be born with a genetic condition that is causing it. In younger rabbits, sometimes bracing the legs as they grow will help with the problem, but that will depend on the cause and severity. It would be a good idea to discuss trying leg bracing with your vet asap, to do the leg bracing while your bun is still growing and it might do some good. I would also make sure to keep her off of slippery surfaces for now while she is still growing and it might affect the development and worsen the splay leg issues.

If she didn't have this problem before and it has just suddenly developed, xrays might give some indication of what's going on. Treatment might still be the same with trying leg bracing to see if it corrects the problem.

Here's some info on splay leg and the bracing that I mentioned.
