I have been in this situation with my rabbit destroying something in the house thatI could not repair myself. My husband spazs out much like you describe your father.
I am an adult woman and you are a young woman but I would tell you to try to cover the area with a small throw or something until some knowledgeable person on this site (Who is handy like Angela's(naurestee's) husbandor Jim D. ) might me able to help you fix the area someway yourself.

can you take a photo of the damaged area and post it?

I think the only way to fix a hole that big is to patch a new piece of carpet in.

I have several patches missing from Wildfire, but I'm lucky because the landlady is putting new carpets in (unrelated to bunny damage), so I won't have to worry about trying to patch mine up.

I did a bit of reading on, maybe you can do some google searches on patching carpet? Although I don't know if you'll be able to find a piece you can use as a patch.

Do you have all the carpet fibers? You could try glueing them back down, although I'm sure that will take forever and not look the best. But it may be better than nothing.

i think i have spare carpet piece in my basement. i just dont know how to put that in and have that safely attached. cuz my mom vacuums my room sometimes, and so does my sister when im not home....that would be kind of odd to find out you clogged the vacuum with a piece of carpet lol.

thanks. i found a small piece and it fits nice in the hole, which he made square lol. and fastened it to the floor.its a little noticeablebut not really... we'll see how long i can pull this off. thanks guys.

Thanks for that link.. Our dog ate a hole in our carpet, right in the middle of the living room floor.. BRAND NEW carpet too.. I am going to have to try that!

Rusty I hope your repair goes well!

Just keep any eye on your bunny, carpet isn't good to eat. Just make sure he is pooping normally, you don't want a sick bunny on top of everything. Hope the patch job works. :goodluck
