We got 8-10 inches of snow betweenlast night and this morning! I just shoveled 1/2 of the driveway and I'm beat. Plus, I accidently jammed the tip of the shovel into my foot while trying to chop some ice. Now I'm going to need that ice. It looks pretty but... ARRGH! I'll take photos a little later when I can walk better.

We've got 4" minimum and it's still coming. I hate shoveling too! I just left everybody in the barn today with lots of food, no fun outside. The snow is nice and fluffy, but it's mixed with hail, and it's covered up a whole lot of ice that formed yesterday... I fell several times carrying water and grain during chores, ouch- but hey, it's winter. Now I'm just going to sit with my hot chocolate and watch the snow fall...

I don't really shovel snow. I simply push/scrape/broom the snow to the side of the driveway, and leave it there. I have different size shovels and brooms to doa fast and quickjob. When enough is collected, I take out the snowblower and blow it away. :p

the laneway into our house from our sideroad is over 2 miles long, so time for hubby to start up our plow! I shovel as little as possible... I shovel our farm gates and barn doors so I can get in! But that's it. And yes, Bo bunny, lots of good exercise! :)

Welcome to the official "I hate shoveling snow club" (IHSSC). *haha*

Me too, we have about 5 inches up here in MN. Sooo sorry about your foot.:(

Here's our backyard today:p:

You guys are so lucky! I want snow! :(I think it's so pretty when everything's covered...

We only ever get about 1/4 inch down here in the South of England, and its usually gone within half an hour and just looks like muddy rain on the roads :(

Having said that, I thinkthe whole country would come to a standstill if we got 13.5 inches!

We've got 3 feet or more too... It took my husband over 7 hours to plow our 2 1/2 mile laneway today. It took me 6 hours to do my normally 1 hour morning chores! But it's winter!

Sorry to hear about your foot. I hope it is not too bad.

Igot about 6" the other day and had a nice ice/snow/wind storm on Tuesday. The ice stormfroze the garage door to the garage floor. My wife hit the opener and the garage door opener pulled a six by nine inch hole out of the wooden garage door. It took me until yesterday to get the garage door open. Today it took me 3 hours to create a temporary patch and re-attach the garage door opener to the garage door.

But once I did, I got the snowblower out and cleaned out the drive way and the wall of snow the snow plow created when it went by. Because I too hate to shove snow.

Took this yesterday from my kitchen window:

That's the foot (or a bit more) of snow we got in Ottawa. (Yofi liked going out in it, but he had to go in after only a few minutes...was worried about his ears frizzin'!)

Oh, and I have the nicest neighbors! A man up the street - whom I've never met - came over and snowblowed (snowblew? snowblowded? :p) the front of the driveway after a city plow passed by and blocked everyone's driveways. He did mine and a few others...saved quite a few people from having to shovel!
