So, the East Coast is supposed to get a hurricane followed immediately by a winter storm. Giving a possibility of a couple days without power. And thus no way to keep bunny veggies fresh.
In such a situation are they ok eating just hay and pellets for a couple days? Or is there something else I can give them?

Thanks

Pellets and hay are a complete diet. Veggies are healthy extras. They'll be perfectly fine without veggies just like if you forgot to go to the store. I would however be sure there's extra water bottles/bowls and food incase you have to evacuate or some other thing happens.

--vegy,s are of course fed as a treat therefore yes,-one could not feed them those,-but yes,i do feed mine fresh greens daily ie.dandylions, plantain, clovers--as a treat along with their mandatory timothy/orchard grasses and some quality pellets,..i thought hurricane season was over,is this global warming.??-i do see on the news wind speeds of about catagory two or 110 mph--i hope you are not in danger,--sincerely james waller--:innocent:pray:

I really like those green plastic "as-seen-on-tv" bags made to keep veggies fresh. They do extend the refrig life of greens. (I should say refrig or outside cold air if you lose power). A head or two of romaine should last you through the hurricane.

I understand your concern. I know buns can be fine without all those greens but I get concerned if they are accustomed to a certain amount each day and then suddenly stop. It sounds like maybe I worry too much. :p

Thanks all :)
Not my first hurricane, just my first with bunnies. So I'm pretty well set.

Hurricane season technically goes until November 1st. Late season hurricanes aren't common, but not unheard of wither.

Last I saw, we're looking at 70 mph winds here, and lots of rain.
