My male rabbit, Sunny, grew up with a brother and a sister. They were seperated at about 6 months old and now is he around 10 months old. Do you think he misses the companionship? I just don't want him to be lonely. He has his own room that he hops around all day and I only put him in his cage at night. Please help!

Rabbits are social animals and most do enjoy the company of one of their own kind. That being said, rabbits just don't get along with any rabbit. Plus, both rabbits need to be fixed in order to bond them. Bonding can take a few days or a week up to several months in tougher cases. You will need to be prepared to house them separately and do daily bunny dates until they fully accept each other.
If you guy is neutered I would contact a local rescue to see if they allow bunny dating. That way you can bring your guy in and he can somewhat choose who he likes :)
Good luck!

He hasn't been neutered yet. He is just so sweet that I don't want his personality to change! Also, I think I might have more time in the summer to do bunny dating because I go to school full time.

:yeahthat:

If anything, it will make him sweeter! :)
You can't bunny date with an unaltered male. His only desire when he gets around other rabbits will be to hump.....which will more than likely cause fighting.
