I rescued my bunny Misty more than a week ago. I had done my research before I got her and the diet was leafy greens pellets and hay. When I went to get Misty the people who rescued her said i did not have to feed her hay. She’s doing just fine with pellets I give her 1/2 a cup a day. I’m just wondering do I feed her leafy greens too?

Definitely! Also you must feed her hay! Hay is a very important part of a rabbits diet, you don't actually need to feed her pellets. You could just feed her leafy greens, some vegetables and hay.

If you go with a pellet-free diet, it's important to feed a wide variety of leafy greens so they get all the important vitamins/minerals. While they don't eat pellets in the wild, they also live like twice as long on average in captivity... so nutrient-rich veggies are extra important if you don't feed pellets.

Do you know about how much she weighs? If she's an adult, HRS recommends 1/4 to 1/2 cup pellets per 6 lbs. body weight (depending on metabolism and/or proportionate to veggies), so depending on her size, half a cup may be a bit much for pellets. She should be eating a volume of hay about the size of her body daily, so if she's not eating that much, she's probably filling up on pellets.
