While my Ziggy is litter trained for the most part, about once a week I still pull out the drop pan and clean it out.The last few times I've done this, I notice about 3 or 4 strips of cecals in the tray. Should I be concerned about this? He certainly seems fine otherwise. Thanks for any advice.

Hi mambo!

I have a couple of buns that I have the same thing with...2-3 cecals in the drop pans.
After 3 years of this, they don't seem any the worse.
I always say, "Better in the pan, than stuck to their tushie !!"

Ive noticed that Basil leaves a few around for me (especially in places where Im likely to step!). But he does this mainly when he gets any treats besides lettuce. Ive figured out that if he has carrots of a few raisins, apple, etc..he will leave a few cecals.

I dont think its a problem as long as Ziggy is on a healthy diet and such. They are pretty disgusting little things to find though!
