I got a polish little boy(in my advatar) and he has been acting vary calm since i got him...he would always be drowsy and close his eyes when he was just sitting around..or on the sofa..the last few weeks i have noticed that when i took him out out of no where he spazed he started running ever where in a panic into wals untile he shoved himself in between to bookcases!i thoght he may have gotten scared but when it havend 4 more times withing a week later i got worred! when he took a spaz in the kitchen he ran beside a wall and cept running into them..i grabed him and shoved him under my arm to restrain him...he still was stuggling when i held him..after about a min he stoped and was normal...what is happening?:(

It could be a number of things. I would have a vet examine him. It could be neurological. It could be his eyesight.

I would definitely get him checked out.

Could be a normal "flight" reaction if something startled him.

What color are his eyes? Blue eyed rabbits are more prone to seizures than other breeds, but it does sound to me like he just went into "panic mode".

I didn't know that. I have a 2 year old guinea pig with epilepsy, and she has blue eyes.

Not all rabbits with bright blue eyes have seizures, but a higher percentage of them have seizures than rabbits with any other type of eye color. The genes that control neural crest cell pigment migration to the coat color and eye cells most likely also control migration of special neuron pigment cells - this could be the relationship between theeye colorand seizures.

al my bunnies are going to the vet tommrow so ill ask thevet about it.
what did the vet say?

He's not just doing the 500 is he? and maybe has bad eyesight?

The Bunny 500 is when they race around the room at the speed of light - sometimes doing a binky now and then. It's a good thing - they're happy and excercising. We say "Bo you're a fassssssssssss bunny!" and he gets all excited!

When Bo does the 500 he tends to zig zag then circle back. Then he does a couple of binkies before and after the run.

What are you doing when he does the fast thing? Maybe you scare him in the middle of fun.
