Hi everyone I'm new to the forum. we have 2 mini lops who've just had a litter I'm trying to *** them but I'm useless at it wonder if anyone's got any tips. They're only 4 weeks old is it too early to tell I have some pictures if that helps. The images are not very good. also we've just had our buck neutered and have medicine to give not sure how that's going to work 😬TIAIMG_20201210_175807.jpgIMG_20201210_180126.jpgIMG_20201210_180257.jpgIMG_20201210_180501.jpgIMG_20201209_192443.jpg

You're probably going to have to wait until they are at least 8 weeks old. It's easiest to do soon after they're born, or after 8 weeks old. I couldn't tell when mine were 4 weeks. I had a few that I couldn't tell until their plums dropped at 3-4 months old.

I don't know if you were told or know this, but bucks stay fertile up to 8 weeks post neuter. So if you aren't wanting another batch of babies, you'll want to keep him separate from your doe(if you haven't already).

Thanks for your reply I'll wait to check again then. I've kept them apart from when babies were born as we didn't know she was pregnant (silly I know) I'm hoping she is pregnant but it's been 4 weeks and no signs of pregnancy so fingers crossed. I was told 6 weeks so that's good to know. Another thing is the babies are starting to eat mums greens should I let them they don't seem to have any tummy problems.

If mom has been fed greens until now, then yes, the babies will have the necessary gut bacteria passed from mom, to be able to digest it without issue. Though do still keep an eye on their poop and bums, for mushy or runny poop.

They can eat whatever mum eats, they get the right set of bacteria to digest it from her.

Thanks for the info currently not winning at getting his meds down him I've tried the syring and mixing it in with banana and baby fruit pots just not accepting it.

Have you tried burrito wrapping to give meds? Then I carefully hold the back of the head cupping my hand around to the jaw, and with my other hand put the syringe in the side of the mouth and administer slowly giving bun time to chew and swallow. I don't usually have to do the burrito wrapping, but for those not experienced doing it, wrapping bun in a towel will help reduce the struggle of them trying to escape med time.

I just soak a little oatmeal with the meds and offer it on a dish, no struggle at all.

Hiya rabbits are ready to go to new homes in next couple of days I'm wondering if anyone can help me with sexing them here's some pictures hopefully they are clear enough TIA
