Today i went to the fair and i waslike okay i have to look at therabbits so i walked over and i saw a flemish. That was my first timei've seen one 'up close', i've only seen them in pictures and it wasawesome. Never relized how big theywere till i actuallyreally saw one. I only saw one flemish there though, i guess they arn'tthat popular here.

I also saw a Silver Martin which i really liked and would like that to be my next rabbit when i get one in the future:)

Thought i'd share because i know a LOT of people here have 'flemish fever'.

I never seen a Flemish either... I do have a silver martin and she is cool.

So glad you saw A Beast up close and personal. What color was it? Were you able to pet it?

I know what you mean about seeing pictures and then seeing oneface-to-face. You just don't get a clear sense of just how big they areuntil you actually see one.

They seem such a great breed.

All flemishes here is on my napping list !!! :sunshine: LOL
Ha not happening at all. Cause you would have to find your waypass through our 56lbs dog Samantha. She will stand up for every animalin our house hold. Everytime there is a squeal cry like in pain orscared she will run up and nudge their noses to make sure they are ok.So she is very protective of her bubs.

He/She was about the same color as Cali actually but slightly darker. So, what is that considered- dark brown?.

I actually didn't pethim/her *kind of nervous*. I get nervousabout petting rabbits that i don't really 'know' because onetime i was at the pet store and i was petting a bun andthenhe just bit me out of no where and took me by surpriseand my finger was just bleeding like crazy. So i'm worried they're justgoing to latch on.

Jen, I have to say that Cali is extremley gorgeous!

:inlove:

I THINK I saw a Flemish before, at my mom's work that is.Although, seeing pictures I'm sure it was one.Thebunwas inthis nursing home called Bethany Methodistand they have alot of birds and pets to keep the patients there more "happy" because of how all of them adore pets.

I went into my mom's office and in a cage there was this huge rabbit. Ialready had Emmy then and was comparing the size to it. I've never seena rabbit so huge, but I was greatly facinated to it. I tried to get abetter look at it but we had to leave right away since my mom justneeded to drop something off at her office.

The rabbit that I think was Flemish was this Dark Brown color.

What colors are Flemish's? Are they all diff.colors or just mainly one color?

Katy

There are 7 "ARBA approved" colors, Black, Blue,Fawn, Light Gray, Sandy, Steel and White. The darkbrown ones are Sandy. They are the most often seencolor. The Steels and Blues are the least commoncolors.

But the Flemish can be seen in other color combinations, based on mixed color/mixed breedings.

Jen your Sampson is georgeous. All you need nowis black, blue, light grey andsteel. Then you will have everycolors of flemmies.

Delilah and SweetPea have gotten sobig so did Anissa wow them ears.
