We lost our male bun a few months ago, we weren't going to get another bun because taking care of two cages and the common area was too much for my BF (bad knees) and I'm really allergic to the bunnies so can't do too much where hair is getting kicked up. Any way, the rescue I foster for got in a rabbit whose owner had just passed away. I offered the idea of just dividing the room with an expen, instead of using two crates and rotating out of cage time, and my BF was agreeable to this. The problem I forgot to consider was having a not litter trained bunny. I didn't realize how bad it was until this morning when I went into the room and realized, he's been peeing almost exclusively outside of the litter box, so the rug pieces (peel and stick rug tiles work great...usually) are really gross. I'm thinking of using vinyl (or something like it) on his side of the room, at least until we work on his box habits. I won't really have an opportunity to let the fumes gas off though so I'm wondering if there is a product (either sheets or peel and stick) that would be safe to immediately install in their room.
