I'd hoped Smokey wouldn't need bathing, because Ithought it would give her a heart attack (given how much she hates, despisesand fears me).
But today it was so bad she was having trouble sitting because of yuckystuff on her tail and feet. It was too cold to clean it off, so it justgot worse today.
In came Smokey, to get a warm bath. That was quite frankly a nightmare.Aftersitting in the shallow warm water for a few seconds, looking surprised--"This is kind of nice!"--she realized she was in atub and started climbing the sides. Then actually getting the stuff offwas horrible. She was a mess, and I didn't want to hurt her, so it tookforever. And she wheezed and whimpered and complained the whole time.
Then upstairs to the hair salon, where she got combed and blow-dried (first time ever).
And to my shock, Smokey--who has never shown signs of pleasure in allher angry little life--began purring. She loved the blow-dryer.Go figure.
Now the poor soul is sitting in a hay-lined kennel in the laundry room, washing off all the "yucky Rose smell". I hope she has no ill effects, but it would have been more cruel to leave her like that.
And I NEVER want to bathe a rabbit again!!!!:X
