It is soothing to know that Rex went so quietly and calmly -- tired and slipping away in his old age, not in any pain or stress.

Oh no! I just saw this and I can't tell you how absolutely sorry I am that you lost him. I loved him, too, as you know. He was such a pretty boy and such a good friend to Peanut when she was so ill.. I always thought that a lot of people should learn from his kindness towards her.
