RIP Mizzy (Gerbil)

Tonight I went by the pets and I noticed that for the second night Mizzy and Moosey hadn't come out while I was feeding the rabbits. It isn't too uncommon, lately, to miss them when I go by them since they are getting older. But it was like, nothing in their topper had been touched.

Mizzy passed away in one of the tunnels under the bedding. She looked as though she didn't suffer and passed away peacefully.

I started to tear up. But what really yanked at me was when I saw Moosey go up to her and start grooming her. It broke my heart. :'( I took Moosey out and put her in the play bin. She sat in the corner. I feel terrible for Moosey. She seems so sad and upset. She's not interested in anything. She was eating though and I spoiled her with a few extra treats.

Mizzy would have been 3 years old May 14th.

RIP Mizzy. You will be missed. <3

Aww i'm sorry you lost her...poor Moosey lost her friend

we're so sorry for your loss. She was definitely a cute little darling--loved the pictures. It's never easy to lose any of your furry children, but it is inevitable. No matter how long they are with us, it's never long enough. Rest in peace little girl, you are loved and missed.

I'm just happy that Moosey is better today. Definitely was being much more herself tonight. She was especially clingy though, wanting to jump onto my hand at every chance, which it understandable!

sorry to hear of your loss, aawww poor moosey, shes obviosuly aware of Mizzy passing on. Give her a little stroke and cuddle from me.

I am so sorry to hear that you lost one of your fur-children, Boz. Those are amazing pics! They look very bonded and happy together. Poor little Moosey... will she bond with anyone else? I think that is what saved Patrick when Luna passed, he already had a relationship with Zappa. It wasn't as cuddly as with Luna, but he wasn't alone.
