hello! this my my 4.5 month old holland lop named Bear! i’m just wondering if this is normal for blue eyed bunnies. i just want to make sure he’s healthy!
thanks so much

I believe it is just the angle and lighting. I’ve noticed it in some of my photos of blue eyed rabbits.AA763935-615B-4F64-9C44-BA712AFC2370.jpeg
Like this one of White Fang. He looks A LOT like your Bear!

Depending on the light how you take the picture you can get a red glow from the eyes but your bunny can also have a ruby glow if they have a sable gene back in line. For example my bunny Toste have a ruby glow in his eyes which I can easily see when light hit his eyes they will glow red or get a red hue.

With him I struggle to not get his red glow when I take pictures but with my other bunnies I have no problem except occasionally.

The two rabbits I had when I first joined this forum (not my first rabbits) both had blue eyes (hence my avatar name). This 1st photo the rescue sent me. I have no idea how they managed to show the blue eyes in the photo. Every photo I would take of them would have red eyes. 🤷‍♀️
