So I have 5 free roam rabbits in a pen outside, they have a house for shade and protection. I've had them for a long while and give them ample hay and pellets. Now the pellets I got were just the cheap regular kind. They'd always eat it all up fairly quickly and if they ran out of pellets they'd run up to the fence to ask for more even when they still had hay or veggies. A few weeks ago I decided that I needed to give them more nutritious pellets since they ate so much of it. I got them some fortified Timothy hay pellets, and just some regular more vitamin rich pellets. I know rabbits can be stingy on change so I've been mixing it into their old pellets. Now I've noticed that I've been filling their food a lot less lately as well as their water. They still have been eating a good amount of hay, but they haven't been showing distress or coming up to the fence like they would when they ran out of the old pellets. They still have regular feces, it's not wet or clumped. So I'm wondering if with the better diet they just aren't hungry as much since their bodies are more satisfied and they don't need as much water since they aren't consuming as much. Just want to make sure they're okay.

To me that sounds perfectly fine, pellets shouldn't really be a major part of their diet (they should have around 25g or an eggcup per 1kg of their body weight), as long as their faeces are normal and their hay diet is the same they are completely fine. Just keep an eye on them for a while and make sure they are still acting normally. Also keep in mind that pellets aren't a vital part of their diet and aren't necessary in their diet. Hope this helps!
