Rabbits nail falling out?

On the ground I found what looked like a rabbits nail. I couldn't find the nub from the nail on channie. It looked like there was blood inside. Please help me, I need help for my buns. The outside looked like it was turning white, but the nail was a black one. It looked kind of speckled with the white

If it was a quite long nail it’s possible the nail got caught and ripped off. If you can, try and inspect all the nails to find out if one looks very sore, as we don’t want an open wound that might get infected. If it isn’t bleeding lots it should hopefully be okay.

Do you need a picture? If so, I can add one. I thought I found the nail it was on, it was smaller than the others, but it didn't have the cut that matched the other ripped off nail. They do have a habit of digging at the dark spots on the floor, thinking it's dirt. Is that what could have happened?
