Rabbits fur thinning on back?

Recently I've noticed one of my rabbits shedding a lot in a short line down her back. I was grooming her and saw a lot of dandruff and some scabbing (I'm wondering maybe from her biting at her back since she has thick fur?). I thought it was only her, but after looking at my other rabbits I noticed some of them have thinning fur/are shedding in a line down their back as well. None of the others have scabs, but there's some dandruff.

I'm thinking maybe mites. Could it be normal shedding though? What do you guys think? I've just never experienced rabbits losing fur in a specific spot like this. I mean, a straight 2-3inch line down their back? It's just very odd.

I'd appreciate any help. If you need pictures let me know.

Forgot to mention: this is only happening with my females! Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Dandruff looking flakes typically is indicative of mites.
