Rabbit's FREAK OUT :/

I'm pretty worried...Pup was eating in his play pen when all of a sudden my mom came up to my room. Out of nowhere, Pup started freaking out like crazy. He was trying to get out of his pen and running back and forth, ramming his body into the pen's wall (even put a dent in it). He looked so scared and so I finally lifted up the pen and he ran under my bed and thumped. I don't know what set him off. My mom has come up to my room many times before while Pup was in his pen but never had this reaction before. It scared me so much. He seems fine now, he ate right after and everything, but he was really freaking out and I don't want this to happen again.

Any comments/advice/anything?:rant:

Was she wearing perfume or had she just eaten meat? Maybe a smell we may not notice freaked him.

No I do not think it was that...

sometimes buns just freak out. you can't always explain it.

Yes, it could be that he was just startled. Maybe he didn't hear or notice your mom coming toward your room and/or was half asleep and suddenly noticed her there.

My rabbit freaked out the same thing to, some rabbits just easily get startled

A recent intake, n/male agouti, will freak out easily when his eyesight detects an unusual sight. Human, clothing change, a different object in my hands.
