Rabbits ears shedding?

I have a 2 year old mini Rex buck, and only his ears are shedding? He is bonded to a 8 year old Netherland dwarf, his ears don’t seem to be shedding, so I am wondering if it is a mini Rex thing or if I should be concerned?

Do you mean that he gets bald spots on his ears?

I noticed something like that happen when a rabbit didn't bother to tuck its ears in when going through a opening with somewhat rough edges.

The hair is shedding out like usual shedding season, but it’s just his ears, there’s no where that I can think of that has rough enough edges to get the hair off
