A squirrel has moved into the space aboutthefalse ceiling in my room, and I can hear him/her chewingaway. It won't take much of an effort to get intotheroom where my little dwarf bunny lives, if the critter sodesires. Should I be worried? She's afree-range rabbit, mostly confined to that one room.

Knowing my bunny, thesquirrel would lose the fight-- Pipp (short for Pipbull) has been known to knock a crowunconscious and regularly attacksher felinehousemates-- but I wouldn't want it to come tothat.

I have all kinds of things living in my roofspace including the occasional squirrel, but none have shown any desireto chew through the ceiling into the room whatever else they get up toup there :?.

It's much more likely that your electricity supply is in danger thanyour rabbit, I speak from personal experience on this one :).

The real worry you have is that squirrels arecarriers of rabies. You need to get it out and prevent itfrom coming back.

Edwin's right. Friends of ours hadraccoons in their ceiling. They did chew through and they hada mama and like 4 babies that had to be caught .... What a mess!!!!!!

Don't underestimate a squirrel's ability tofight, either. They can be formidable if rabid oragressive. Might be wise to block ingress to your attic ifyou see the squirrel(s) leave at any time during the day.

Remember the squirrel in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation?

I had squirrels in my in my attic once, we had togo up there and up down mouse trap. After a few days we went up andchecked the traps and they were all gone, we think they got caught onthe squirrel's tails or something and then they ran off.....
