When i just got my rabbit my rabbit's pee is like whitelish yellowy not transparent. And her poop is big and around and black. Recently her pee is more transparent, almost like water and her poop is smaller and browner. Is there something wrong with my rabbit? I did change her diet a lido becuz i heard the pelet i was feeding her was bad so i gave her more vegi and fruit for the time being. Another thing i notice is that my rabbit don't eat a lot anymore. My rabbit used to eat a lot of pelet but now she won't eat alot of them, she eats them a lido but its different from how she used to eat them. But she still loves her vegie.

PS my rabbit peed on my bed, how do i clean it???It's weird, most of the time my rabbit manage to not pee or poop. once in a while i would forget to put the litter box in the pen and in the morning when iput it in she will do her stuff. My mom said she is very well trained with it comes to the 'leaving waste' department. I guess i'm lucky, a few seconds ago i was next to her on my bed patting her head. Its hard to think about my rabbit peeing on me.:faint:

I think that you may want to mix some of her old pellets in with the new. If she is a young bunny too much veg may cause diarriah. (Not good)

My bunny's urine is a cloudy yellow, I am not concerned by it, it isn't thick or anything. She is named Tinkle Bunny, because when I first got her, she used to pee on me. I bought a bottle of Urine Gone. It is great, It costs $18 a bottle, but you don't have to scrub, or anthing, just spray it on and let it dry. It works like a miracle.

Good luck.

I just use plain white vinegar to clean up urine. It does a great job!

If she's not used to eating that much fruit and veggies, they may up sether stomach. Even though the pellets you're feeding aren't the greatest it's still okay to feed them. Cut back on the fruit- they should only have a tablespoon or two a day. And when you feed veggies make sure they're leafy greens like kale or lea flettuce and add them slowly to her diet so you don't upset her stomach.

I wouldn't be worried about with what her pee looks like, it sounds okay. Whitish pee means she's excreting excess calcium, whichis normal. As long as it's not super thick. It will also be darker in color sometimes, like a dark orange, from eating certain veggies.

Also, if she peed on your bed, I would just throw the sheets in the wash.

My Max has taken a liking to peeing on soft things (like my wonderful comforter). I either spot clean it with water and laundry detergent or throw it in the wash.

Bunny pee is not something you want in yourbed ;)

i would just wash the bedding. . .

at least it only has happened once, my old rabbit trixie would get upset with being told 'no' and would jump on my bed and pee on it right in front of me. . .:X, my friends thought it was comical, but the amount of times i washed my bedding was terrible.. .

Good point. Just to clarify, on stuff like bedding I use vinegar as a pre-treatment because it's so good at getting out the color and smell.

Hi Kawaii,

A bunny's urine will change for a lot of reasons including diet, temperatures, health, etc.

From the sounds of it, she got normal urine and it may have becomel ighter with the addition of extra vegetables. She'll get extra liquids from the veggies.

It's most likely she'll eat less pellets if she eats more veggies, too.

okay, i'll just wash it, i don't want my bed to smell like vineger. Heyy do everyone notice that your rabbit always has it's eyes open? I really can't tell if its sleeping or not.

haha, yeah it does seem like their eyes are always open.:)

My Mr Tumnus is the exception, he sleeps like a baby all layed out in his bed with his eyes closed and everything!

But most bunnies will rest with their eyes open. Or they may open them when they hear you or smell you coming :)

It's a bit unnerving, isn't it?!?

I've observed a couple of things that my bunnies do that tips me off to if they're sleeping or not.
The first thing is their nose will stop twitching.
And if they're deep sleeping they get all "poofed up".....and their noses stop twitching.

what does poofed up mean? are all rabbits naternal? Is there a way to let them not naternal? It's easier for me to sleep at night when she's sleep with me instead of jumping around making noise.

Did you mean to say nocturnal?

Nope, rabbits are whats known as crepuscular! They are most active at dawn and dusk. From the House Rabbit Society:

"This is because before becoming domesticated, rabbits evolved as a prey species for thousands of years. Evolutionarily it was safest for rabbits to leave the safety of their burrow and for rage for food in the transition between day and night when the light is dim. This is the time when nocturnal (night) predators such as owls can't see well because of too much light, and when diurnal (day) predators such as foxes, can't see well because it is too dark. Smart bunnies!"

Unfortunately, this means they are usually up and at em when we're trying to sleep. Does your bunny have things to play with in her cage? That should keep her busy while you sleep. Another option to consideris to let her out at night while you sleep (if shes litter trained). Or get a fan to block out her noise a bit at night.

Also, forgot to mention that bunnies can sleep with their eyes open! So sometimes she may be sleeping when you think shes awake ;)

Other things that can help are giving her a good long exercise period just before you go to sleep and then feeding her,and maybe putting a blanket over her cage/pen so she can't see you and fuss about wanting attention. Just make sure she's no tripping the blanket apart.;)

My rabbit has this plushie in her pen. I don't want to give her anything hard becuz she makes a loud noise when she drops hard things. My rabbit is very very active at night, sometimes it gets soo bad that i have to go sleep with my mom. But i think most of the times its okay... I had my rabbit for 8 months aready and she only gave me a really hard time sleeping like 15 times maybe. Other times it only a lido bit noisy but i got used to it so its nothing.

It's when their fur kind of stands straight up....even the fur on their face.

My bunny goes completely flat, and starts twitching when she sleeps. She makes funny faces and kicks her legs. I don't think that will ever get old, I could watch her sleep for hours.:bunnyheart
