Freya was caught with what looks like a hairball in her mouth. It's a clump of her fur with poop in it. She doesn't have a poopy butt, no signs of diarrhea, and the poops look to be normal shaped except for what was smashed by her and myself when I picked this apart to see what it was. What the heck is it and why??? She's acting norma.

She turns 5 months in 6 days from now. The Google told me to expect shedding and a new transitional coat around this time. Was she grooming and shedding a lot due to this and was trying to eat cecotropes?

That, or cecotropes got stuck in fur that was lose already, at some of my rabbits I can pull a handfull of fur from around and over the tail when they are shedding, although haven't seen such a thing at the molt at that age.
Or she left the cecotropes close to where some fur had accumulated.
All speculation, I've never seen something like that.

It might be a good idea to brush her or pluck lose fur if that uch is comming off, to avoid digestion problems.

She could have got a cecal stuck in her bum fur and she groomed and pulled it out. That's the only likely explanation I can think of.
