I offered bun a slice of orange today, which she has previously refused to try. Funniest thing - she sniffed it and gave it a lick and then actually pulled her face back into a sneer. Like, she actually wrinkled up her cheeks so just her tongue was sticking out. Has anyone else ever seen a bunny do this? She took a few more licks and kept sneering and hopped away, and then when I offered it again she backed away like a vampire with garlic. She's now hiding under the couch...

haha, that's funny :) Maybe she realized that oranges have too much sugar for her and the acidity can be hard on their tummies!!! I wouldn't force her to "like" it. But too bad you couldn't get a picture of her sneer!!!! lol

haha, that's why I just love buns-they are really expressive! Ripley SO did this yesterday when I offered him Probiotics mixed into banana. I'll have to get a picture sometime-he was so mad because I guess he could tell it wasn't plain mashed banana. I tried mixing some into applesauce (his other favorite) and he did the exact same thing over again.

Haha I can picture that :)

Once we offered an orange slice to our cat years ago and he walked backwards out of the room squinting his eyes!

Oranges are too acidic so hiding under the couch would what I would do!
