Hello,

Most of you probably know that I adopted a rabbit about 4 days ago from my local pet shelter. His name is BunBun.

Well, I had a quick question: I've seen some pictures on here, and it looks like one bunny poops A LOT. It seems like BunBun is not pooping as much as he should be.....but I'm not sure, because I'm a super new rabbit owner and know almost nothing. (Well, not really 'nothing' but ) So I would really appreciate it if some of you could post a picture of your rabbits litter box when it's full so I can see how much ONE rabbit poops in one day.

Thank you.

I don't have a picture, but a rabbit should poop 200-300 small poops a day. That should give you the general idea of how full the litter box should be.

Mine aren't litter trained but they fill up there hutch pans in a week, that being said, they all poop differently. I think you should just watch the water and food intake. he could still be aclamting to his new home. If it hasn't improved in a few weeks then I might be concerned but for now I think he is fine

Trixie's box gets dumped every 2-3 days. I know she doesn't leave 200 poops a day, but she does poop enough to where she's particular with how full her litter is. If the litter is too high in the box for her, she will pee on the outside of it to tell me that it's "too full".

Exactly the same with Theo.

Same, she starts to pee on the outside too!
I use to clean it everyday in the mornings but I started cleaning in out every 2-3 too.

The pee is so strong, I recommend using the oxyclean pet stain/odor remover then using the arm and hammer pet power to go on the carpet. With that mix I have had no problems getting it out and keeping the satin out!

Here is my bunnies litter box after one day when I only had 1 bunny using it at the time. I have a picture because I was working away for a few days and made my other half take them so I could reassure myself that they were fine while I was gone (I know paranoid owner!). Some might be hidden under the hay but you sort of get the idea :)
