rabbit died

I found a rabbit under a car a couple of days ago. I fed him veggies etc. he was fine, loved the garden and runs fast. today I found his weak and he didn't want to eat. I took him to the porch and he was weak, then he died. I remember I played music and forgot to lower the volume. later I softened the music. I don't know if he could have died to the loud sound or maybe he is just advanced in years. his leg fur is all meshed and dark brown. he didn't look healthy when I found him.

I put him in a box, buried him in my garden, put a tombstone and said a short eulogy.

i doubt the music was the cause of his death. he could’ve already been sick so don’t blame yourself. you were able to give him comfort before passing and that’s the best thing you could’ve done.

It's possible he had been hit by a car and had internal injuries. The music would not have killed him. In the first photo he definitely looks to be in really bad shape -- especially not attempting to move with the dog near.

You gave so much love to him at the end of his days and had no way of knowing where he came from and the troubles he'd had. Maybe the music offered him peace and something else to focus on. I'm so sorry it happened, but I would argue you gave him the best last days a rabbit could ask for and an honorable burial.
