My baby bunny will be 2 in 20 days, and I want to make it special šŸ„ŗ Because she's literally my everything lol. I have an idea to make a "all you can eat for rabbits" I buy like 10 types of vegetables and fruits, put them on plates and let my rabbit do her thing, but if you have other ideas, please tell! How did you celebrate your rabbit's birthday? Also, do anyone of you have a rabbit birthday cake recipe? Haha, I couldn't find 1 single one on the internet!!

Honestly, it is best for your rabbit if she only has one type of vegetables or leafy greens and only limited amount once a day. Giving her access to 10 types of veg and fruit unlimited can cause upset stomach or blockage etc. You don't want her to have diarrhea or GI stasis after your "all you can eat party", right?

She can have a modest piece of fruit or carrot or something extra yummy like 2 grapes or blueberries or an inch of banana or one medium sized strawberry but as well very limited amount. Please don't overfeed her, it can cause serious health problems.

I would go with a new toys or a tunnel or a new toilet or something like that, this Happy Birthday thing is more for yourself, you will celebrate and take pics to post on Instagram and she will be happier with her routine I am pretty sure of that.

Sorry I didn't mean to take away your joy just don't overfeed! šŸ™ƒ

Did you see Nuage's recent thread, Oreos first birthday? She had some ideas! @Nuage
Ooh! Thank you for mentioning me!
My post here: Oreo's First Birthday!
I recommended bunny cake (recipe in the link), giving a boy of toys/ DIY toys, and getting plenty of pictures! I'm soon uploading birthday pictures from her photo shoot!

If youā€™re not too tight on a budget you can always buy her lots of toys and wrap them in wrapping paper! I recently found when I was wrapping some presents - that my own bunnies are completely and utterly in love with shredding the paper! So that could be something fun to do (unless your bunny isnā€™t interested in it).

A birthday cake could be a pellet, banana and carrot cake. I recommend you only make little ones so that they donā€™t go to waste. And use foods that sheā€™s used to.

Ingredients:
Oats
Pellets
Carrot (or any Other fruit)
Banana

Method: Blend the oats and the pellets into a fine-ish powder. Add warm water to the carrots and blend those together too. In a bowl, mix together the wet and the dry mixes until itā€™s a firm dough. Roll it out and cut it into 3 small circles. Bake that in the oven on a low heat (100C) for about an hour or until itā€™s crunchy (but not burnt). Wait for them to cool and smash the banana into a paste. You can then use the banana as a ā€˜glueā€™ to sandwich the pieces together. To finish it off, put it in the oven for a few more minutes until the banana has baked and the cake is firm. Once fully cooled, you can feed!

This is just what I made for my bunnies - but Iā€™m really bad at measuring things so I just did it by eye šŸ˜…

My rabbit is also obsessed with shredding paper! And that is a great recipe, I make those into little treats. I tend to go all out at christmas with an advent calendar from pets at home, christmas treats and a few presents. I also make Cosy a little christmas dinner of vegetables he is already familiar with - cabbage, broccoli, carrot peelings, parsnip peelings and a couple of tiny sprout leaves. Oh, and he has a stocking too and we make sure Santa visits ;)
