So my rabbit ( chubby 7yr old) jumped out of my wifes arms last night .. hit the ground ..and broke his nail.. it was bleeding something awful.. we manged to get the bleeding undercontrol. He then contuned to clean his paw aswel. My Question is : what should i do to prevent infection or if anything else needs to be done??

thanks for your time..

:yeahthat:

He might be a little tender on it for a while. Good thing rabbit nails grow quickly!

Stinky has broken a nail a couple of times. IME there is nothing to worry about. Just make sure its clean. If you havent already I would wipe the area clean with some soap and warm water. Cleaning the cage will help also. I did that since I didnt want him stepping in pee or poop. It will grow back. Like I said before, nothing you need to worry about.
