You might want to search the forum as there is an excellent post with links on potty training. Basically most rabbits train themselves. My rabbit is a year old. If left to go wherever she poops in certain areas she made habit of. I have only found 1 area she peed in. So she is mostly potty trained. For rabbits potty training means urine. You are supposed to give them a little more space at a time to train them. It took my rabbit a long time. She still has random #2s but that is normal. Search here and you should find the article. Often it is linked after a potty training question.
Rabbits train easiest when they are older and after they are neutered. Some may train as babies but they often forget those potty habits with the onset of hormones. So in the meantime, limit his space.
Several weeks after his neuter, he should take to training on his own. All they need is the proper setup and they'll train themselves. It is a natural habit for them to potty in one location.
A few stray poos should be expected when they free-roam. But those are dry and odorless and easy enough to sweep up. It is the rare rabbit indeed that is 100% with his poos. Urine should be 100% once trained.
