I had to give Toby his regular butt bath and trim today.

I accidentally nicked his penis with the scissors. I feel so bad.

It bled just a tiny, tiny, little bit. I put some Neosporin on it and gave him some Metacam.

He'll be alright, right?

I'll check it twice a day to make sure it's not getting infected.

Aww, poor little guy!

I think he'll be okay. As long as you keep a close eye out for infection and keep putting Neosporin on it, he should be okay. There's lots of blood flow to those areas so it should heal quickly.

Don't feel too badly, at least you didn't cut it off....

Ouch! :faint:

He should be okay. Like Dawn said, just keep an eye on it and continue taking care of it as you already are.

Oh, and Toby says that whatever he did wrong, he swears he'll never do it again, Mommy!:surrender

He's not mad, bless his heart. He's the sweetest boy ever. I just finished rubbing his ears and feeding him Craisins.

He's my baby boy.

I'm still mad at myself for hurting him.

Look at that face! What a sweet little guy.

Dont beat yourself up, these things happen to all of us. I cant imagine if I had to trim Tumnus's hair..boy that would be a rodeo!

:shock2:I think we can all agree that he will probably be EXTRA still next time. ok, I'm just bugging you but things like this happen all the time. For example, I went 3 years without ever cutting my bunnies nails too short and then I managed to cut one of Mocha's and one of Spice's too short in one day! I felt so horrible.

I'm just glad I don't have to trim my boys' hair... it was a fight to get Mocha on his back today just to get a picture of his belly...

Snuggysmom, I'm sure he'll be fine. :) Just watch for signs of redness or swelling or anything out of the ordinary,he'll recover well. Back when I still had Scooby-Doo, he and Raph accidentally wound up together in the basement, and Scooby, who was scheduled to be neutered, decided to get amorous with Raph. Of course that didn't go over too well with my boy Raphael, especially since Scoobs mixed up which end was Raph's rear, and which was his head...well, Raph got upset and with one swift chomp, attempted a home Scooby-neuter. He wound up tearing the poor boy's sheath - a very nasty gash - which resulted in an incredible amount of blood spilling everywhere, a rather ticked-off (and sore) Scooby, and a veryf reaked-out human (me). I took him to the vet, he got some antibiotics as a preventative, and that was it. As nasty as the injury was, a week later he was almost completely healed.

And on a (hugely guilt-ridden) similar topic, when my son was around 3or so I was helping him get dressed one morning and was in a hurry...too much of a hurry, as it turned out. When I zipped his pants they snagged more than just cloth, if you know what I mean .Thankfully he wasn't injured, but I can only imagine how much it hurt!(I'm still waiting for the day when he pens his own 'Mommy Dearest' book as a result...;))

Oh, ouch! Have you seen the movie "There's Something About Mary"? If not, you HAVE TO!

Toby is acting like nothing happened. I think he's fine. He's enjoying all the extra attention and CRAISINS!
