Hello, my bunny POOPS EVERYWHERE. she's getting spayed in 2 weeks so maybe that will help. She has pee accidents (prob not accidents to her) regularly but she's most definitely aware of or inclined to use her litterbox to pee. like she'll be in one area of her pen and run to the box and immediately pee. she does the majority of poops in her box but that's only because she poops the most while she's eating, not because she knows to use the box.

I don't understand how anyone's bunnies are free roam and allowed on beds/couches like do they stop the pooping everywhere once fixed? if it were the occasional poop right outside the box I wouldn't care but she literally poops EVERYWHERE. I am not considering getting a friend for her so it would be amazing for her to free roam my apartment and sit in my bed while im watching TV but that's just not possible right now.

I know bunnies do not have dogs' brain capacity and you can't yell at them or punish them for pooping in the wrong places but is there anything I can do? Will this get better post-spay? I've tried picking up her poops as soon as she does them and cleaning the floor after but it's not doing anything.

My bun did better with poop once I put his box in a corner. Occasionally, I'll find poops not in his box but he's very clean. He did improve even more after being neutered.

her box is in a corner and she clearly knows where it is because she'll intentionally go to it to pee. do they like have control over when they poop? when she's in her box eating she'll poop there while eating but as soon as she's done eating she jumps out and then poops everywhere

it's a cat litterbox so she can fit her whole body in it. it's lined with pee pads. she likes peeing on pee pads so using that as litter has helped with pee accidents but her poops are just everywhere

In my experience, some bunnies are more litter box poopers than others. I've had rabbits that virtually never pooped outside the box except for a few random pellets near the box and others that peed in the box but left pellets wherever they happened to be.

Neutering/spaying helps for sure, but some bunnies will have better habits than others by nature. Generally, my bunnies have liked to pee on soft surfaces so I tend to keep them out of the bedroom, and some of them have had to be kept off the couch as well. Others will sleep and play on the couch and be perfect angels with their bathroom habits.

Same with chewing habits, each has their own issues with what they like to chew.

A rabbit I had recently, it was a given that every morning I needed to sweep up the night's pellets from the living room floor. Drove me crazy, but that's life with rabbits.

she's been doing this the entire time she's been living with me, and I got her when she was 8-9 weeks old. not a single other animal has ever been around her since I've had her.

she's had like 3 random nights and some days where she'll only do like 4 floor poops in the span of 8 hours. but for the most part she does it ALL THE TIME. she's not spayed and won't be for 2 ish more weeks so she could be marking her territory if that's the sole cause. but no other animals have ever been near her and I live alone so my boyfriend is pretty much the only other person she's ever spent meaningful time around.

she has 0 problems with my boyfriend has never done anything aggressive and acts the same way towards him as she does towards me. like maybe a little less affectionate bc I spend every single day with her and he doesn't but she's never like bit him or been afraid of him or sprayed pee at him

It would help getting her spay, she will loose the interest to mark her territory all the time. It helped with my bunnies not to scatter their droppings everywhere and peeing on couches and bed. Sometimes I can find a few droppings but that happens when they don’t manage to get to the litter box in time

hopefully, it stops after you spay her but tries putting some pee pads on the floor and see if she poops on those.
