Would that be Dr. Bruce Levine? He was Sparky and Scooter's vet when we lived in Huntington Beach. I really, really liked him. Barry is in good hands.

Dr. Levine had a couple other patients before us (we were late) so they had me leave Bobby and go home.
Yes, it is. If he's as good as rabbits as he is with rats, he will be my primary vet for sure. I love the man.

Well guys, according to what he saw, it looks like a heart related tumor. He sent in a cytology to figure out what kind exactly. We'll find out roughly tomorrow afternoon. He says the options of treatment would probably be chemo but we're gonna wait for results before going any further. Besides that he's good as he can get.

Nope :? They said it could take up to 3 days so if I don't hear from them by tomorrow, I'll call.

You know guys...it all depends on what kind of tumor it is, what the treatment options are, what the side effects of the treatments are and what Dr. Levine thinks and says but, I am considering just letting Bobby be. His heartrate is a bit faster than normal and he is prone on getting congested but steam baths and dark chocolate keeps it under control. And he doesn't complain about the chocolate hehe. If the treatment is going to be long and stressful with little chance of doing anything, I'm going to let him be. If his treatment will be fast and painless, I'll treat him.

Some of you might not agree with me but I rather have Bobby spend a short stress free life with me than a long stressful life at the vets office constantly.

I have to say that I, for one, totally agree with you there, Rina. Who would want their baby's last months to be full of possibly painful, difficult testing and treatment? Not to mention, not being assured that it will save his life...poor sweetheart.

I'm so sorry you have to think of these things at all...you and little Bobby don't deserve this kind of pain and frustration. But...I'm happy he's with you instead of still being where he was before you rescued him and his brothers.

I'm happy he can live out his life with someone that so obviously loves him SO MUCH.

Okiron, I'm actually glad to see you say that! We have a saying around here about the medicine sometimes being worse than the ailment.

On such a small animal also, I can't imagine how awful it might be.

I always weigh the options and the good and bad. I'm a libra, go figure. ;)

Well I got some great news. Cytology report came back. It looks to be just an infection. He says just keep him on antibiotics for 2 weeks then we'll re-xray him.

Well Bo, he's had a congested chest since the 21st of December, so I don't know if the abcess is caused by the bite or it was there from the beginning.

Wow! That's the most wonderful bad news I think I've ever heard from a vet!!

I'm so happy!

This means all he needs is a good round of antibiotics, right? WOOT!!

GO BOBBY!!! GO MOMMY!! You guys are totally awesome!
