Hello I am a rabbit breeder who breeds Lion Heads. I used to use Water bottles only but now I am using bowls. This is my first litter using the bowls and I am a bit worried. This litter is now three weeks old and are just now getting out of the nest box. I am worried that they are going to fall into the water and get cold. Right now it gets down to the 30s at night, if they were to fall in I am worried they will drown or get hyperthermia. There is a water bottle in the cage but mama doesn't like to use it anymore and will now only drink out of bowls. What should I do? The babies drink out of the bottles but mama won't. I don't want the mom to get dehydrated. Any suggestions? Am I being overdramatic and they will be fine? Please help.

Ok. So I suggest maybe getting something like this. which is small enough that the bunnies wont fall into but big enough that the water will last through the night. just refill them before you go to bed Pics below.

You could use a raised water dish that is too tall for the babies to get in. That is what I usually do; attach a dish to the side of the cage so only the mother can reach it until the babies would be old enough to jump out of the water.
