Dang. Only citizens of Australia are allowed to sign (well, who's gonna check?) . Which is wrong. Every single virus released will spread worldwide, what Australia does there is a worldwide extermination that doesn't even solve their problem. They are killing off a domesticated species, while their wild one keeps adapting. It didn't work in the past, it's not going to work in the future. Just waiting for that virus to jump species, that's going to be fun...

Just at my grandsparents generation rabbits were an important food source here. Just because we are able to burn fossil fuels with no cap now to feed us that doesn't mean we can't end up needing that resource pretty soon again.

It's funny because over here we have our native Australian Magpies that and getting this disease which they called Black and White disease where magpies can't use their legs or hold there neck up and they have no idea where and why this disease is here... I wonder if it's from these man made viruses

Nope, don't think so. It's not like nature doesn't provide a plethora of deadly viruses. It's just that it's realy dumb and shortsighted for us humans adding new ones or helping to spread local plagues worldwide. It's especially dumb when it targets domestic animals that are important in many regions in time of crises, just because they are an inconvinience in one corner of the world - and that isn't even working on the wild population long term, just making them more hardy...
