What's the easiest way of keeping track of all the breeding and their outcome etc... Is there some sort of a system to record things. A template or something to fill in or even a computer programme.
I really want to keep track of what's going on and be able to give people pedigrees if they buy a rabbit from me. What's the best format?

If you can pay for one, evan's rabbit register is AMAZING. I bought the deluxe... ohemgee. I love it. XD

There's also breeder's assistant. I didn't specifically like it, but my good friend swears by it.

I had a look at evan's rabbit register. It sounds fantastic. I wonder if there is a UK equivalent?

I made my own on Microsoft Excel... it is not as easy to use as the programs out there but it gets the job done for me.

I wouldn't even know where to start:?

I have Breeders assistant . I really like it . And if I remeber correctlly its based in the UK

I absolutely love Evans and most of the breeders that I've dealt with over the last five years use Evans too. Their support is awesome as my computer has crashed twice during that time and they've helped me restore the program.

I'd email them and ask them if there is a UK version. I love it for the genetics part of the deluxe edition.

By the way - just as a side note and it is really an "opinion" and not overly important...but the breeders I've worked with in the past who have seen my Evans pedigrees (usually newer breeders) tend to like them and ask where I do them, etc. I had a couple of them tell me that they'd seen the "big breeders" using that pedigree program but they never felt comfortable enough to ask about it. When they found out the price - the two people I specifically have in mind - went out and bought it and later said they loved it.

I love Evans cause it is so easy to email the pedigrees too - and to import them into my software if they're emailed to me.

I am seriously tempted if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Unfortunately I'm a computer idiot and will probably have to let David deal with the installation etc
