She's sneezing and is definitely congested. Not bad, but not normal either, you know? I'm in school all day tomorrow, but I'll call the vet and see if she can get in soon.

And here I was about to send a card to Dr. G telling him how well Peanut was doing :?

I don't have the time. On top of school and family obligations, it's Holy Week and I told my priest I'd be there to take photos of the services. I really don't have the money. Taxes - need I say more?

But that doesn't really matter, now does it? ;)

She's my heart bunny and I'm sooo worried...:saddened

Many prayers and healing thoughts to Peanut and to you. There's something about Holy Week that brings out the urgent situations. Hugs to go along with those prayers.

Lots of prayers. I can not recall what exactly is causing Peanuts head-tilt.

My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you and Peanut.

:purplepansy:

Give her kisses for me.

Thanks, everyone

We have an appointment for Thursday morning at 11. Like I said, I'm gone all day today, so the kids will have to keep an eye on her. She sounds like a little baby with a cold, all snuffly and snorting.

Our best guess is vestibular damage from an ear infection.

Ain't that the truth! Know what we were doing last year during Holy Week? Adding a new behaviorally-challenged cat to the household :foreheadsmack:

We're all thinking of Peanut, she's been through so much and is such a strong girl. ((hugs)) for peanut.

By the way, if you value your limbs, do not try sucking snot out of a rabbit's nose with a bulb syringe :nono Despite that tilt she's amazingly agile ...:lookaround

(a half-dozen Craisins later, I think I might be forgiven)

Ah. Kiss that sweet one for me. Her picture is on my fridge.

Well Ringo's last med cleared up his nose, and the sneezing but he is so very much off balance. We are picking up two meds to help with the balance.

If he stretches to much he can fall and rolls. He gets thrown off so easily. He still runs, jumps and eats fine.

I really know how you feel. I don't know anymore what to do for Ringo. I have three more ideas for where to house him. :(

So much love a prayers heading your way fromour house.

Woke up Thursday morning and the heavy, wet snow had bowed many trees right to the ground. Snapped a power line and we've been without electricity, running water, phones, etc. for the past 2 1/2 days. It just came back a few minutes ago.

We didn't made it to the vet (I need to call them today) and Peanut is doing alright. Still congested, but thankfully no worse.

Oh, poor Peanut...:( I'll be keeping her in my thoughts and saying a little prayer for your baby. Sending lots of hugs and kisses her way...

She's doingreally well, actually. And now I'm vacillating (such a great word) as to whether or not she needs to be seen.

She's stopped 'horking' and choking when she eats. She still sounds like a piggie, but what's new?;) I think that with her head tilted to one side, nasal drainage issues aren't really that unusual or even worrisome.

My reticence to bring her in boils down to: what can the vet actually do? Are there nasal decongestants for bunnies? Her nose isn't runny or mucousy, so there's nothing to suction out. Would antibiotics do anything (aside from upsetting her tummy) when it's not an actual 'infection'?

And yeah, I'll be honest, I'm just as nervous about the car ride setting her back.

Still thinking about this one :ponder:

Oooookay...

I called the vet to reschedule; I figure since he hasn't seen her in over six months it'd be nice for him to at least see how well she is doing. And if he can help her nose, that's even better

He's booked solid for the next two weeks, but if I call early on Thursday or Saturday morning, they can probably squeeze her in. So that's where we're at.

Of course, her sneezing is not being helped by the fact that she's also shedding like crazy, and those darn dust bunnies are tickling her little nose :foreheadsmack:

Does it ever end?

No...I think not.

Peanut's molting and, as usual, her gut has been out of whack: excess cecals and small poops (is it strange that those always go together during a molt? :?)

So tonight I withheld their pellets, gave them a small amount of pumpkin, lots of water and lots of hay. If I was nervous about the side effects of antibitioics before, I'm even more nervous now. Hopefully we'll get in to see Dr. G and he'll have some sound advice.

But doesn't it just figure that *right* before her vet visit she'd give herself a lovely case of poopy-butt, makin' her momma look sooo bad:disgust:

a w w w w ... poor Peanut.

But better BEFORE the vet visit than after. She's just trying to save you some money. What a sweet girl she is! (Wish Pipp would think ahead like that). :expressionless

I'm sure she'll be fine under your care, you're doing everything right.

Hugs and nose pats to all ... :hug2:
