At my school were all about 'Paying it forward'

What it is- is one person (you) help 3 diffrent people a month. Wether it be paying for the person cofee behind you in line or paying for some local homeless people to have dinner at a buffet,

We also watched the move, Ironicly called 'Ray it forward'. It's true, if someone can help 3 people, then those 3 people help another 3 people..It can spread fast.

I just want to tell you some stories Iheard so far:

My friend and her mom went to the local grocery store and there was a lady infront of her, with 5 kids. She had a little load of groceries but still, Was 40$ short. So she started packing up the kart to re-turn the things to the isle. When she did my friends mom took the stuff out of the kart and added it to her own items. She then walked outside Each my friend and her mom with a cart. Her mom them parked the cart behind the car that she saw the lady just get in. Obviously she noticed the cart and got out to move it. She noticed it was full of groceries she had recently put aside. She then started to cry and noticed, She had to 'Pay it forward'

I went with my mom to the Timmy's and She noticed her friend, Jeanne was about to pull in behind us. My mom told the TH worker what the amount was, she then payed it. Later that night Jeanne came over to our house. I told her that she had to 'Pay it forward' and she din't know hwat I ment, Found out after there was a carthat was between us.

Have anyone else a story on 'Paying it forward'

I lost my home, me and Dahmer has been homeless for a week. Walmart was nice enough to pay for my plane ticket so I could go back to Cali (from Illinois). I was 20 minutes late and the fact that I had check in luggage and a cat, they told me no, I'll have to take the next flight tomorrow morning. But it was gonna cost me $100 to reschedule and I had no money for that or a place to stay that night. Let's just say after the week I had, I collapsed and started bawling.

There was a gentlemen there that was getting his ticket refunded. Just a stranger I've never met before and no one knew. He wasn't even from Springfield. For no reason at all, he paid for my $100 rescheduling fee and gave me money for a motel room and food. Yeah...I started crying again, this time out of gratitude. I could never thank him enough.

Since then, if anyone ever asks me for money, I'll give it to them if I have it. I contribute to Kiva.org as much as I can. There's no way I could track down and find the man to thank him but I could help other people instead. I still start tearing up thinking about him.

there are at least 20+ people I work with, and when one of our girls lost her house because it was sold out from under her (by her blood relitives none the less) There were only 2 of us at work who opened our home to her, her child and pets. So needless to say we had a "house guest" for 6 months.

We did not accept any money from her to stay, but told her to save it to put towards her very own place. I know it's not paying it fwd, but I was a bit taken aback that no one else offered to help her, and all seemed to turn a blind eye.

Oh yes and i wanted to add, I was a bit suprized that the majority of coments were "oh that must be a strain on my life having her in my house"

Or they would sayto her what a strain she must be putting on me.. *shakes head at people*

Random acts of kindness are one of the most important things in life :)

Two years ago this really nice guy came out to our place to mill some lumber for us - he lives alone in a shack (an actual shack) that has hardly any heating and the only thing in the world he owns is his portable saw mill and truck. It's how he makes a living. We live out in the forest and own 700 acres and there is over 1,000 acres of forest around us owned by someone else but they don't live there... this fella would not come inside for lunch because he was terrified someone would steal his saw mill. I finally got him for homemade soup and hot chocolate. He has no friends, a lot of local people make fun of him, and he has no family. So we invited him to spend Christmas day with us, and he really was nervous about it but got so excited when I offered... He said he really didn't know if he could make it. But he did.... We filled a stocking for him, and bought him presents to put under the tree, and I cooked a huge Christmas dinner even though it was just my husband, me, and this fella for dinner. He was like a little kid opening his presents.... He was in his fifties and couldn't remember his last Christmas with friends or family.

The Christmas after my mom died and I was 16 someone did that for me, brought me over to their house, made an amazing meal, and had presents under the tree for me, and I will never forget how that made me feel. I'm so glad I do that for someone else.

Sorry for going on and on...
