I get so nervous during the day, cause I know Papaya and Kiwi for that matter do most of their eating and pooping overnight. He hasent pooped for me since this morning. He's still finishing his pellets from this morning. I guess it's good that he's at least nibbling on things.

I feel so bad I went out and got him a new chew toy (one for
Kiwi too of course). He chewed on it for a second and lost intrest... So did Kiwi LOL That's what I get for buying them a new toy! They don't even like it! Ha. Bunnies.

Also, another question: when do your bunnies do most of their eating and pooping?

I see mine eating off and on all day and night... they eat a bit more when I'm awake, ofc, since that's when I feed veggies (they get pellets in the morning, veggies at lunch and dinner time and then pellets before I go to bed). I haven't been paying attention to when they poop 'cause they poop SO much, but I know the strays end up in the pen at all hours.

Hi sounds like your Papaya is doing really well Post Neuter. And your doing a wonderful job of taking care of him

Yes pumpkin is really good for them. Mine get it usually once or twice a week, they all love it.

Are you syringe feeding the Critical Care or is he eating it out of a dish?

I give mine Steel Cut Oats as a treatwhich they really like.

Mine have pellets in their cage at all times they nibble on them throughout the day. They get greens for breakfast and dinner. They tend to poop alot during the day, not so much in the evening and lots over night.

Glad he's feeling better.

Susan:)

Thank you everyone for your words of support! I am doing my very best trying to get Papaya to recover.

With regards to the critical care, I put it on my finger and he licks it off. I also put a bowl in his cage with critical care when I'm not home, so he has the option to eat that as well as his pellets, hay and oats.

He hasent touched his dinner pellets yet...

So nervous...

Well, I woke up this morning and there was lots of POOP!!!! Papaya ate all his pellets overnight, and his critical care! I can't comment on his hay, but I'm pretty sure he munched on that too!!!

I'm wondering if he still needs his dose of metcam this morning? How log did you guys use metacam after your bunnies were neutered? This will be day 3 since his neuter.

Just a little update for all of you who were kind enough to give me lots of support with Papaya's neuter :)

He is back to his normal cute bunny self :D

The only thing is that I guess I spoiled him with giving him alphfa hay with his regular Timothy hay... He's eating the Timothy but he dosent seem thrilled about it!
