I was playing with Sunshine, when I noticed white things in her poo.:X I actually saw them crawling around!

Are they called tapeworm?

How do I care for this?

Thanks.

It might be pinworms. Take sample ofher poop in to a good rabbit vet. They'll do an inexpensivetest to see what they are and then prescribe some medicine.

No. actually, I didn't. I wanted to wait a day to see if it got better.

She is all better now though.:)

hmm are you sure there were worms in the first place? Or are you sure theyre gone?

Im no expert, but I dont think worms would just up and move out on their own...

:yeahthat

Please have a vet check her, or at least have the fecal testdone. My vet only charges $15, that's hardlyanything. The meds are usually pretty cheap too.

I am pretty sure they are gone and that they were worms in the first place.

Naturestee and the others (folks here and on EB)are right about this.... Please take good care of your bun. She'stotally dependent on you for her welfare.

My Charlie currently has pin worms and I cantell you - they do not just go away. They are small and whiteand sometimes you will see some ontheir poo, and often youwill see them on their tail/butt area if you pick them up and look atnight.

Some days you will see none, and others you will see tons. Ifyou are sure you saw a few one day, you may not see any for weeks butshe still has worms - they live in their gut and you only start seeingthem when the infestation is in higher numbers. Take her poopto a vet who can tell you for sure if she has worms because you willnot always see them.

The female worms will continue to lay eggs and Sunshine will keepgetting more worms untilshe starts loosing weight... if yousaw worms, take her poop to a vet please.

Yes, please take her to a vet. There'sno reason not to, really. The test and meds don't cost verymuch but they will do a lot to improve Sunshine's health.
