I had physical therapy today. Stood for 2 1/2 minutes, took 4 steps (two forward and two back) with the aide of a walker with pressure just on my left ankle, and did another transfer from bed to wheelchair and back to bed. Because of the holiday week, physical therapy will be back in the morning and plans are to work on more steps using the walker.
Tomorrow is a busy day! Home nurse will be coming to show us the proper care for the pins in my frame. Physical Therapy is scheduled to be here an hour and half after the nurse arrives and in the afternoon I will be making my first trip in the public. I have been without glasses since the accident and finally the schedule allows me to go get my examinaton and will have to take another trip out next week. But the plus? The appointment is at Wal-Mart so I can do some cruising around the store andnot count against considering me home-bound!
