Not so sure being in a car accident makes me thankful to have a lawyer. Had it not been for a drunk driver, I would of never been in this situation from the start. Not only did Ibecome injuredbut I lost a vehicle and have gained visions of the accidents which will scar for life.

Amanda, I am so sorry this happened to you! I am so behind on things. I feel awful I didn't know before.

I wasn't meaning to make light of it. I'm only glad that you will be able to have things covered monetarily. It's hard to go through all of the recovery and have all of the expenses on top of the physical hardships.

I hope you're feeling better today thanyesterday

I understand now what ya ment, Minda. :) Luckily, I also have an insurance that covers 100%. But with all of this, I don't even have to worry about any co-pays!

One of these days I will be back to normal! I just had my gallbladder removed on October 1 and was back to work and then this happened. Can you say a bad case of luck? LOL!

Bo, this was the first time I mentioned anything about the accident on the board. There's no way you would of known any sooner, don't feel bad!

Well, Amanda, I still feel bad. I used to talk to you every day online and now it's just been crazy!

How's the rest of the family? and how are you feeling?

The swelling in my left ankle has gone down big time.

I had my first home visit with physical therapy this afternoon where she showed me exercises to do.

Tomorrow will be first adventure out of the home to a doctors appointment. I believe it will be to remove stitches which I want to find out how many I had because the cut is what almost caused me to loose my foot. So hopefully I will get out of this splint and into a boot of some sort.

Friday the PTA returns and then I will have a visitor that I can't wait to see! :)

I know Bo, miss ya too chica! We could always become email buddies since I always have that open. :)

Just got back from the doctor appointment. Nothing went as planned.

My foot is dislocating from my ankle so I go in for surgery on Tuesday to have a halo fame 'installed'. It will be removed after approximently 6 weeks, so that's yet another surgery on top of the one I have yet to have to removed 2 of my screws.

The visitor is just a really good friend. :)

:tears2: I hope thats what the doctors think is best. Are you still taking pain medication?

Several people (my son, Jan, you, Penny) need to get this year over with. They been having such a badunlucky year.

At this point it looks like I have 3 surgeries ahead of me, so it won't be the last. :(

One to put on the frame because from my understanding screws have to be used. Another to remove the screws for the external frame. Yet one more to remove 2 screws from my ankle in the future that were put in on my Oct 31 surgery.

Oh yes, I am still taking pain meds! I'd be in tears if I wasn't considering I still have pain with taking extra extra strength vicodin. My one pill is like taking two normal strength.

Spent most of today at the animal shelter. I made arrangements with the Produce manager at Safeway to take fruits and vegetables that they normally throw away and give them to the shelter. The shelter recruited me as a volunteer andI have access to all the rabbits and am allowed to feed them.

Here are some of the bunnies in the restricted area and not yet available for adoption.

Oh man! they are precious! I love that little black one in the corner.

Stan, you are awesome to have set that up!

 You make such a big difference in some bunnies' and people's lives.

Cute bunnies!!

I had my surgery yesterday and have a very uncomfy peice of hardware on my foot and ankle. I was told that this will be on for 2 to 2 1/2 months and at that time they will perform surgery to remove the frame and two of thescrews in my ankle. They tried to removed the two screws yesterday but were unsucessful and had to be replaced. Not to mention, they else took out my stitches that went almost clear around my ankle from an injury in the car accident. No fun!!

I was thinking about you yesterday while I worked and today off and on. I wondered how it went. I hope it all heals quickly and you don't have anything else that needs done!

Yesterday, I pivited from my bed to my wheelchair using my walker. Ohh that was no fun! Today, I was able to stand on my left ankle for 2 mins and 15 seconds. Physical Therapy is no fun, that's for sure.

It's a start. Soon you will look back at this, and wonder how you much you have gone.
