I wondered what other rabbit owners do with their hutches are night to keep bunnies safe? I am always paranoid a fox will scare them. My hutch is double meshed! Padlocked and has a hutch cover which covers the front but is clear plastic with zips. But I always put large plastic screens in front too which show light but are misted so a fox can’t see through. Am I too over the top?

If Peterborough is where I think it is. Coyotes won’t be a problem. The main problems having a rabbit outside in the UK are foxes, dogs and cats. Then of course, weather. But other than that, I can’t think of anything

The setup sounds very secure. I guess if it works, it works 😅

Haha! ^ Yes, I wasn't meaning to imply that the OP should be worried about coyotes... but looking back at what I wrote, I could see how that could be assumed. I was merely musing about what my concerns might be if I housed outdoors. ;)

Yes it’s uk so manily foxes. We have 3 dogs so they keep foxes cats out in daytime. It is secure but intention is to bring her inside when she’s bonded with our old rabbit he’s 10

When my parents had chickens, we built a double walled coop for the at night--a bear might have gotten in but it was strong enough to dissuade lesser animals. You might want to hinge some wood that can be folded up and locked down at night. Out of sight, out of mind. Tracks and pins work pretty well too, if you don't want to hinge the wood.
