Hi Beanie! Welcome. I have arabbit named Beans, hehe. I also have one named Rice and onenamed Marshmellow, and a baby I haven't named yet.

Regarding your bunny, I can understand if fruits and veggies may upsether stomach but hay is essential to a bunny's diet. They needhay. What kind of hay were you feeding. The besthay to feed is Timothy Hay. Make sure its fresh.

Hi thanks for responding! Yes, I havegiven her timothy hay and the hay is what makes her worse. Iwill occassionally give her a pinch but thats all she canhandle. Otherwise her bm becomes a mess. Shes beenlike this for most of her adult life. Shes been perfectlyhealthy if she just eats pellets, however this has got toboring!!! I will give her vitamins in her water every once ina while. She my first rabbit so i always gets worried that I'm doingsomething wrong!:bunnydance:

Hi Beanie! Welcome to the forum!

I'm just wondering if you've ever had a vet check her out forparasites, etc? It's extremely rare that grass hay wouldupset a rabbit's stomach. Usually if rabbits are sensitive tofood, they're better off eating only small amounts of pellets andveggies and eating tons of hay, so I'm a bit confused.

Hello, Beanie (and Beanie's human, hehe)! Welcome to the forum!

Have you had Beanie checked out for anything that may be wrong with herthat may be causing this? It's highly unusual (in fact, I'venever heard of it) for hay to actually upset a bun's stomach, particularly Timothy hay, without something else beingpresent. I agree with Naturestee, that there may be some sortof parasite, or other problem occurring that needs to be handled.

In usual circumstances, when a bun's digestive system is out-of-whack,or something is going on, Timothy hay is usually what regulatesthem. So, I'm also wondering if there may be a parasite inthe HAY itself? Maybe try another type/brand/bag of hay tosee if that's the prob?

Just a thought. :)

Keep us updated on how Beanie's doing, ok?

Hugs to you both!
