Hello all! I'm Neej, and I'm new to the wonderful world of rabbits. My nearly 6 year old daughter and I picked up our girls yesterday and today (one came from 10 minutes away and the other from an hour away, which we couldn't manage to coordinate yesterday and is why they had a day apart) and we couldn't adore them more. In less than an hour after bringing the first home I went from "They will be outdoor rabbits" to "I want ALL the snuggles, ALL the time! They will never leave my side!" and consequently I now have two very curious, very cheeky but very beautiful mini lops pushing the boundaries of where they can sneak to and exactly how long I have to glance away before they stand a reasonable chance of jumping over my shoulder without getting caught immediately.

To introduce my little ladies with big personalities, I have an apricot broken/butterfly (I can't quite get the info on that right; I've been told that butterfly is what Australians and the British call the rabbits Americans call broken, but then I've seen it refer to a more specific pattern of brokens, so I don't really know what mine is officially) named Miranda-Jayne, and a self black named Samantha-Snow. Mandy and Sammy. Admittedly they more often go by Honey-bunny and Sammy-bear.

Miranda-Jayne is nearly 9 weeks and Samantha-Snow is 7 weeks and 5 days. I was a little worried when bringing Sammy home that Mandy may get snooty with a strange rabbit invading the territory she'd had 24 hours to claim, but she was just super curious and within a few minutes they were snuggled up together like the best of friends. :yahoo:

I'll be posting a few questions about breeding and colour combinations etc. soon, but in the meantime I just wanted to say hi. So, Hi! :D

Hello there and welcome to the forum :) Because they're both still so young, territorial issues won't show up. As they get older 3-4 months things might start to show though, but it really depends on the rabbits.

But again, welcome, they're very cute :)

Welcome to RO! Such adorable bunnies you have there! :)

Like Bec said at the age of 3-4 months they might start to get territorial, spaying will most likely help but they may still get along at that age..depends on the bunny!
