I have a new question. A little confused about where to post, so I am going to try here.

Hi, new bunny mom here. I have two little ones, both under 5 lbs. I just enlarged their pen from 12' x 9' to 12' x 14'. To do this, I put their hay in metal trash cans with tight lids (20 gal). I use this hay to put in their boxes morning and evening. They have investigated the trash cans, put their little feet up on them. and tried to chew them (unsuccessfully).
Any cautions I should be taking?

You got it right on your posting this time. ;)
By starting your own thread, that should get the most responses. This is better than trying to add on to someone else's thread.

Can you post a photo of your set-up? That might make it easier for us to understand the housing arrangement.

This is their pen. They have their own bedroom, but the boy likes to chew so I put cage around the edge.

Your pen looks great, and the set up looks good. They have plenty of space in there! Personally I would have the cans just outside the pen but that’s just because mine tend to get up to a bit of mischief. At first they weren’t too mischievous but I’ve had them almost a year and they seem to be more curious and will play and chew anything they can get a hold off!

I love your set up! I especially like the table and trash cans you have inside their area because it looks like it makes cleaning up after them and serving them meals really easy.

Thanks guys! yes it is nice that they can clean up the hay that spills :)

IMG_1859 (1).jpg Fuzzy_Trible & Wuzzy-Trouble 2 males at 6 weeks, now 6 months. Fuzzy has blue eyes and I am hoping he can see okay, he can't seem to find his treats without help. They are bonded but are boinking each other now. I haven't been able to find a local vet or humane society that would fix them. Is it too late at 6 months? The black one (Wuzzy) keeps running away instead of coming back to his fancy 2 story coop for his kibbles. He comes back after a few days and still enjoys his pets and hangs out just like he never left. Then disappears again. There are feral cats and loose dogs outside our 2 acres, but our doggie and cat just ignore our buns. (But keep away the strangers) I have to leave the farm and they get mad and pout when I don't let them outside. They were hand raised in the house so aren't afraid of much. Except cars and barking dogs. (which is good) 2 brave little guys but they don't want to play, just graze outside the coop. They come and check out where I am when I call them and still come when I shake the kibble jar. I hope we can move the coop further from the house, they spray when they are together. Stinky . . . whats a new bunny mom to do? We are planning on moving it into an area they really like and creating a fairly large habitat for them. It's Hawaii at 2400 feet, so good weather most of the time.
