I will start by saying that I do raise Belgians hares so am a breeder. However in the past year I have done some breed specific rescue of Angora rabbits. There are not many Angoras nearby and I know all the breeders. But every once in awhile an ad comes up on Craigslist for Angoras and they are not usually in good shape. This weekend I contacted a lady about an ad she placed. I wanted to make sure they were okay. Turns out she is in bad health and admitted that the rabbits were matted. So I offered to take them. I am well versed in Angora care and am a spinner so will put the fiber to good use. We agreed on a price and I took them to a breeder friend so we could both shave them.
So I now have four new Angoras. I renamed them as Tiny Tim, Sapphire, Spinner, and Tribble. They are eating well and adjusting to there new home. I will try to post pictures later.
