Nervous about giving my Rabbit away

I am trying to find a new home for myrabbit, but am nervous as the thought has occured to me that an ownerof another kind of animal, ie. a snake, may take her off my hands as afree meal for their pet. Has anyone EVER heard of this happening? am Ijust crazy? I've invested to much love into my bunny to see her gethurt. thanks-Marti

No you are not crazy in any way! If you givethem away "free to a good home" then it is just asking for that tohappen. It is always best to charge a bit of an adoption fee. Here is alink with helpful tips on rehoming a rabbit.

Welcome to the Forum! I don't think your crazy, you just want yourrabbit to go to a loving home.

Maybe if you post soemthing in the Rescue Me section of the forum withsome pictures and a description, somebody on here may want to takehim/her in. That way you will know that she/he has gone to a lovinghome.

Yep, sadly this does happen...and it's not uncommon :tears2:

Is there no way you can keep the bunny? There is so many rabbits in shelters and rescues and it's hard to find them homes.

Where are you located at? Why do you have togive her up? I think it's awesome that even though you need to rehomeher, you are still concerned about her.

I agree...I think your best bet would be to postsomething about her as a REHOME in the Rescue Me section. Besure to include a good description, picture of your bun, and yourlocation, or general area.

You just might hit on the perfect person to give your baby a good home!
