Ive had my baby, Nosu ( short for nosferatu ) for over a year. Hes a florida white ( i think thats what its called. )
i have managed to get in a few clips to some of the nails over the past YEAR, ive gotten most of his fore fingers. His dew claws were curling they were so long. Ive clipped one but i havent. gotten to get the other. he lives on my brick floor with a few towels, and his nails are constantly scraping loudly. they poke out of his fur on his paws a bit. Ive tried flipping him over but he just power-kicks me in the gut and wont let me touch him for the rest of the day.
I don't neglect him at all, but he is very reserved. He was a rescue i found running around all dirty. He was an adult when i got him. I assume he came from a rabbit farm, but maybe an extremely poor cared for pet. when i found him he cat deep cuts, half matted fur, and heavily urine stained paws. he also had ear mites and an infection on his testicles. didnt't seek out pets or any attention, but also wasn't scared of people. didn't know what to do with food not in pellet form (salad, grapes, hay, etc)
Not fixed, but i'm working on that. saving up lots of money and researching the best vets.
but anyways, any advice for cutting his long nails?
