Last night, when I got home from work, Pumpkin, our 8 year old, was lying in her cage. She seemed quiet, but I didn't think anything of it until I went to feed her.Usually, the sound of the food bag sends her into fits of excitement. Last night, she just continued to lay in the bottom of her cage. I let her out to roam, and she did hop about a bit, but then laid down behind her cage. After several attempts to get her to eat. we called the vet. She advised us to continue to offer her food, and that she felt it was ok to wait until this a.m. to see her. I'm anxiously awaiting7:30, when the office opens, to call. Over night, she did eat two small pieces of lettuce, but that was all. Your good thoughts and prayers are appreciated. Needless to say, I'm really scared!:sad:Thanks for listening....

Just spoke with the vet's office...appt. at11:40....sure seems like a long time from now.....good news is that Pumpkin just drank a bit of water.....not a lot, but still better than nothing!

Oh no! poor Pumpkin :(

Iwill be keeping Pumpkin in my thoughts and praying that nothing serious is wrong with her

Please let us know how Pumpkin goes at the vets!

Guess What????? Pumpkin is out roaming around, digging, chewing, and having fun...she ate a few pellets, and won't let me pick her up.....which is terrific, since last night all she did was lie there and let me hold her.....we're still going to the vet, but she is MUCH better.....thanx for your prayers!

Maybe Pumpkin had a bit of gas?,Simesthicone (baby gas meds)is great for bunnies that have gas!

Anyway i'm glad to hear that's she's feeling better

and still let us know what the vet says

I'm going to ask about that at the vets. We also changed her pellets, or are in the process of doing so, recently. That's another vet question.Might as well make it count. We're on our way in a couple of minutes....more when we get back....

:bunnydance::bunnydance::bunnydance::highfive:We're back from the vet.....good visit.....the doc said that the physical exam looked good, but he recommended that we get a complete set of blood work done....which was quite an experience, but Pumpkin was absolutely perfect with the vet and the vet's tech. I was soooo proud of her. She's a scaredy-bun, and deals with her fares aggresively. The vet's tech had actually had a pet rabbit, and she was impressed with Pumpkin's age.....all in all a much better day than I expected earlier this a.m.....thanks to everyone for your prayers and concern....will post about blood work tomorrow when we hear from the vet.

That's great that Pumpkin if feeling much better

Now let's hope the blood work comes back fine, fingers crossed!

All the best

Just got a call from the vet.Pumpkin's bloodwork all came back normal, so we're doing well in that area. She has been a happy bun today....racing and binkying and playing. I guess she just had some gas the other night...sure was scary! Thanks, everyone, for caring andlistening. Y'all are terrific......:great:
