My new hobby

I have really gotten into all the AKC events since I purchased my dog Arwen, an Australian Shepard who just turn a year old. Yesterday we went toa Tracking seminar. It was great, so now Arwen and I are going to learn Tracking to compete! I can't believe how busy my life has become since I got Arwen, this year every weekend seems to be full of some doggie thing - Dog scouts, dog shows, all kinds of events. I'm meeting the best people too, its really forcing me to come out of my shell.

So now my dog and I do AKC Rally, Herding, and Tracking. We are starting Agility in March and hopefully soon she will be mature enough for Obedience. She has taught me so much about patience and friendship.

I hope this summer we will be ready for our first real Rally show, we have been doing practice shows recently.

So this post is to praise my dog for how great she is!

Well done Arwen! That's really awesome that you can do so many fun things with her.

I can't even imagine trying to train my dog agility, I think he would just lie down and refuse to move.

I've seen dogs lay down on the during a run, like "no mommy I want a break."

I can also see Arwen doing that just to spite me - she has an evil streak, but I love her anyway
